Police accused of running drug ring in Texas town. Outspoken citizens terrorized and arrested.

Citizens of Covington, TX are living in fear of police accused of using their influence to operate a drug ring and arrest and terrorize citizens who speak out against their activities.
“They are scared to death now,” said Covington City Council member Marty Smith. “They lock their doors, they lock the car doors because they are scared of the police.”
Covington Police Chief Wade Laurence has emerged in the center of the accusations,WFAA.com reports.
“Wade Lawrence asked me what it was going to take to shut me up, and them to arrest me and handcuff me at a council meeting,” Smith said. “I’m 69 years old and I don’t need the hassle of it.”

WFAA spoke to former Covington police officer Kayla Richardson who said the trouble began one year ago when she discovered drugs missing from the police evidence locker. Police Chief Laurence was the only officer who didn’t take a lie detector test.
Richardson filed a report against the department with the Texas Rangers, but it was never investigated. When Chief Laurence discovered Richardson filed a report against him, she was fired.
Soon after, the arrests of her boyfriend and a former mayor were ordered. WFAA reports that Richardson’s boyfriend was charged with assault and the ex-mayor with credit card abuse. Both are saying the arrests were out of retaliation.
fountainofyouth:I live an hour away from the border, and it’s a reality: The government and state refuse to make marijuana decriminalized, non-medicinal, and completely illegal; Meanwhile the cartels that are moving and recruiting here in texas while making that billion in revenue they talked so much about in california. Cali got it easy cuz they cut into the cartels drug and traffic trade, but texas and arizona are fucked up. These conservatives don’t realize what they’re really doing to our state; Seeing our needs are different becuase we are miles away from a country at a civil and drug war. I think Politics knows the statistics of races and ethnicity in south texas and arizona. And I think they purposely keep pot illegal. Whether they get paid by the cartels/gangs, employ them or what, they know what they are doing. It’s genocide. Plain and simple. My car is the most likely thing to kill me, shortly followed by what I eat and drink. All because of oil. Got all sorts of shit in my water, my streets aren’t safe for shit, all because we got more oilfield eighteen wheelers making potholes and groves. People I know and love get cancer without even smoking, cuz 15 years ago we used to be able to see our street without a black haze. Texas is fucked up, but south texas is just plain fucked. All the trucks from the oil are dangerous, they kill at least 1 person a month, sometimes as high as 5. I know the true price of oil, and the pricks in washington are still trying to extend they’re tax evasion loopholes. Oil, Drugs, And Politics are the main things that will kill you here in Laredo Texas. Texas needs to make gambling legal, or medicinal pot, or even make emissions better; But like is said they know what they are doing, KILLING us without going to trial for murder. Doesn’t matter though, sooner or later us kids going to bring and new order..lol.

This thing again: Criticism over Time’s differing cover play resurfaces
Remember a few months back, when we did the analysis of Time’s covers to see if the balance between hard and soft news was consistent around the world? The issue’s cropping up again, with Slate pointing out how Time passed on giving Americans a Mario Monti cover. Just a couple points to this: First: The prior week, Time gave Americans (and the rest of the world) a cover on a prosecutor trying to clean up Wall Street, a story which treads some of the same ground as the Monti cover. Two weeks ago, Time passed on giving Americans a cover on soccer icon Lionel Messi, which would’ve been a weird time for one considering the Super Bowl was on the way. As I said last time, I personally don’t think it’s a matter of Time trying to soften the news — but more a matter of Time playing to different markets. Though it’d be nice if Time thought Americans cared about the Italian leader enough that they’d pick up a magazine with his face on the cover. — Ernie @ SFB

Anonymous just took down the CIA's website

mohandasgandhi:

I really don’t see what the point of these attacks are. Is it merely to spite government officials? Well, that’s great. You made them angry. But what did you do? What did you do to establish a conversation so that your grievances will be addressed and potential solutions for such are put up for negotiation?

These attacks just seem childish. When Anonymous brought down Libya’s governmental websites, for example, they were at least bringing much needed awareness to a serious issue. I fail to see what sort of a message they’re sending in these cases.

:Perhaps It’s to say that we’re heading in Libya’s footsteps. And there are plenty of hacks without reason, like the recent greyhat for instance. But I think the hacks without reason/purpose support a far darker cause; I’m glad that these anonymous hacks have a purpose. Even if it is the slug the playground bully just to say, I’m the king bitch, so stop stomping around like an idiot

To The Vegans That Bitch About Hunting

Yea. Some people ruin hunting by thrill killing or trophy greed. But what happens when when you can’t go to the supermarket and get tofu burgers.

I hunt because my family has done it for HUNDREDS of years. We hunted because we were poor. And my father and I would eat 100 percent of what we killed. If vegans wanna bitch, suck on this, plants are living organisms as well.

Lastly, the dumbest shit you could do is bitch to the few people that kill animals without torture unlike any processed meat on the market today. There is no such things as a vegan, find out what all is done with cows and other animals, retard. So Vegans.. GO FUCK A GOAT!! LMAO

Oh, and just about everything is made from animals- like

Photographic films and filters, lifesaving drugs, buttons, fabric, dyes, vitamins, candles, matches,China dishes, paint, wallpaper, linoleum, carpet, plywood, drywall, insulation,Laundry detergents, ceramic tile, fabric softeners, disinfectants, household cleaners and polishes, inks and papers, lectrical circuitry, the ink toners to print onto copy paper asphalt, refined sugar, juices, beer, wine, concrete, x-ray film, surgical gloves, pharmaceuticals, insulin,Steel ball bearings, brake fluid and anti-freeze ,lubricants,Industrial cleaners, fire extinguishers,Sunscreens, deodorants, jello, oil, perfume, soaps and shampoos, cosmetics, toothpastes and mouthwashes,Animals help feed other animals too. Pets, zoo animals, even other farm animals rely on animal-based feeds and feed supplements like vitamins and minerals.. Plastic, cardboard and paper containers, the cellophane and wax paper

But lets get rid of all that just because of a few whiney children.

and I’m the stupid one>_<

-P.s. Hitler was a vegetarian. he he

Update: Still tickled to death that only vegans like and reblog this. You know a simple minded indivdual would know that this is all I want. Lol. To get under your skin; No one will ever care about animal rights. Hell, not even human rights, that’s just the ugly truth. Hate to wake you up from naptime kids, but seriously, care about things with a little more substance. I don’t dislike vegans or vegetarians, I’ve even posted how the human body is designed to be a herbivore. I never intended to offend anyone but when I started getting hate mail and shit talking reblogs, for speaking my mind about the senseless hate towards hunters..I couldn’t help but take a few swings at this poor attempt to make me feel guilty. I feel sorry for you guys.. This is my apology for those who don’t blindly judge people for who they are and how they think they should be.
